First startup acceleration program of Center for Entrepreneurship of UCU: meet the winners!
Lviv Business School of UCU (LvBS) and Center for Entrepreneurship of UCU summed up its first year of work: the completion of the acceleration program and DemoDay. Within three months, the startup teams effectively worked on developing their ideas and projects and in the end of December 2018, they made their final presentations.
Center for Entrepreneurship of UCU is a business accelerator, designed to help young startups gain more knowledge and experience from mentors and technology professionals, help start-up teams present themselves on global markets and embody their ideas of technological products. Center for Entrepreneurship of UCU is mainly focused in 3 areas: EdTech, Food Tech and Digital Marketing.
During the final presentation of projects at DemoDay, the jury and mentors identified three winners:
3rd place - «UATAG» (unique authentication tag) - this platform offers 100% complete protection of world class brands and products from counterfeiting using patented authentication technology and the blockchain.
2nd place - startup of Ukrainian Catholic University «Career Navigator». Using gamification and questioning, it helps parents and potential students of UCU to understand relevant direction of studying according to their skills and preferences.
1st place - «Shrips.net - ideas and travel companions». Shrips.net is a community that brings together active people for active travel. It is a platform for collecting offers from people looking for a company: anyone can join the offerings of others, as well as offer trips from themselves. Shrips is something like BlaBlaCar, but you are not here to just get from point A to point B, but to organize a journey and get unforgettable impressions with new people, united by one idea.
By the way, this startup was founded by husband and wife, so we are convinced that this will be the case of a successful family business, which LvBS is constantly promoting and supporting.
