GSCM RANEPA: Scientific-practical conference ‘Business Development under Global Challenges’

From March 22nd to March 26th, Graduate School of Corporate Management (GSCM RANEPA) hosted a scientific-practical conference ‘Business Development under Global Challenges’.

The conference brought together Russian academical elite, business professionals, and state authorities. During the 5 days of the conference, 50 competent speakers shared their experience on the actual trends in business development and managerial practices. The goal was to unite the efforts in discovering the most efficient solutions under the unstable circumstances of the Covid era. The event was held online, could be publicly accessed, and was recorded so that even a larger audience could benefit from it.

Sergey Kalendzhyan, GSCM RANEPA Dean, made a welcoming speech:

“We are delighted to have the star speakers here at GSCM and they are always welcome to join our business education programmes as expert educators. We are aiming at achieving synergies between the cutting-edge science, best business management practices, and state-of-the-art business education!”

  The key topics of the discussion were the following:

  • Recent changes in the economy on both global and local level 
  • Acute issues in digitalization and corporate management 
  • Effective approaches to maintaining and developing the human capital in times of crisis 
  • Global logistics and international trade: innovation trends
  • Food security and agribusiness development during pandemic

 Each section covered a particular topic and included both expert presentations and a Q&A session. 


Abel Aganbegyan (Russian Academy of Sciences, GSCM), Denis Shulga (X5 Retail group), Denis Cherkesov (the Russian Government), Ilya Eletskih (Coca-Cola HBC Russia), Тatyana A.Runge (Team and I; Belbin-RU), Sergey Kalendzhyan (GSCM), Kirill Porvatov (Roscosmos Academy), Sergey Mitin (Federation Council) were among the key speakers.
