Kolping week events
19-23 of March in Kolping University of Applied sciences was the Kolping week which became a tradition. The week-long events for the diverse auditory were organized for the fifth time.
On the 19th of March The Social work Department of Kolping University of Applied sciences called to commemorate the year of Europe senior activeness and generations solidarity. There was experience sharing seminar, attended by the president of Kaunas Leisure and Services Division ,,Juozapine” Dr. Almante Judita Sulgiene-Rabinauskiene, later there was the Third Age University theater troupe performance.
On the 20th of March there was a meeting with Vilnius city Mayor Arturas Zuokas. The discussion was based on ecoideas and social responsibility in business, international experience. Also for the first time it was organized „Brain-ring“ attended by 13 groups from different Kaunas and Kaunas districts schools. After the wrestle competition the first place won Kaunas Maironis gymnasium, the second place won “Saules“ gymnasium, the third won J.Urbsys Catholic High School the first group, and the fourth place won Garliava Jonuciu school representatives. The members that won two first places are invited to participate in highly popular 5 days long summer academy which will be held in Kolping cultural and educational center Troskunai (Anyksciai district). The third and fourth place won teams will be able to play bowling.
On the 21st of March the lecturers of Finance Department provided free of charge consultations on accounting and taxes issues for public society, later was held the meeting with Kaunas city Mayor Andrius Kupcinskas. The theme was the environmentally-friendly Kaunas city and etc. Also it was given the acknowledgements for very well and well learners and actively participating in the activities students.
On the 22nd of March it was held the meeting with Paris Administrative Court of Appeal Judge Dr. Bernard Even and the minister of Social Security and Labour Donatas Jankauskas, and the theme of meetings were the community, volunteering and social support.
The final was on the 23rd of March in Kaunas City Municipality the Great Hall and were held the international scientific - practical conference "Challenges and Social Responsibility in Business". In the conference took part scientific and educational institution employees, business sector representatives and partners from abroad. The articles were read by lecturers from France, Germany and Lithuania. Closing of the international scientific-practical conference, students were awarded by scholarships by the founder.
