VATEL CONVENTION 2022 AT UDG!
UDG gathered 55 Vatel schools in Montenegro within the framework of the 16th International Convention in the field of tourism and hospitality management Vatel's school, which is, according to the recently published QS ranking, the first in France and 11th in the world in the field of hospitality management, gathered a network of its schools in Montenegro
The “KABADA” project was successfully presented in an international webinar
This year on September 28th, BA School of Business and Finance (Riga, Latvia) succesfully held a webinar titled “Kabada, your business pal: how the tool is disrupting Young Entrepreneurship in the digital age”. This webinar was the first in a series aimed at disseminating and promoting the concept and functionalities of the KABADA tool to potential users, encouraging them to test it out and discover how it can help a whole new generation of people who plan to start their own business but have little experience with that.

MASTERCLASS AT UDG: POSTER DESIGN FOR OPERA
On Monday, 10/10/2022. At 12:00 p.m. in the Entrepreneurial Nest of the University of Donja Gorica, Jovan Tarbuk, an expert in the field of visual communications and identity, held a Masterclass lecture "Poster design for opera" as part of the OPERA project of the Creative Europe program, in which UDG is one of the partners.

On October 4th, the Tourism Confucius Classroom at the UDG held the "China Day" cultural experience activity to warmly celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the founding of China and the traditional Chinese festivals Mid-Autumn Festival and Double Ninth Festival.
ORIENTATION MEETING FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS AT UDG
The University of Donja Gorica, in accordance with its mission and vision of internationalization, counts the increase of newly enrolled foreign students this study year, and that number amounts to over 30 newly enrolled students.
2 prestigious CEEMAN Champion Awards given to AlmaU faculty in 2022
CEEMAN Champion Awards 2022 have been awarded to 2 AlmaU professors in the following nominations: Teacher of the Year – Ms. Aurora Diaz-Soloaga (School of Management) and Responsible Educator of the Year – Dr. Alberto Frigerio (School of Politics and Law). Applications for the awards have been written and submitted by the Head of International Development of AlmaU – Ms. Darya Nelidova in May 2022.
AlmaU conducted a study based on face reading technology
Professors and students of Almaty Management University investigated the impact of information of political and social significance on people. They analyzed the opinions and feelings of citizens based on neurobiological research. According to the scientist, the January events that happened in the beggining of 2022 became the reason for the study.

UDG host International Conference in the field of high-performance computing (HPC) "EuroCC/CASTIEL"
University of Donja Gorica was host of this year’s International scientific and academic conference in the field of high-performance computing (HPC), called "EuroCC/CASTIEL", which was held from September 6 to 9 in Bečići, Montenegro. The conference is realized within the framework of the EuroCC project - National Competence Centers in the Framework of EuroHPC that deals with high performance computing. This is currently one of the largest research projects in Europe, with a budget of around 60 million euros, and brings together, under the leadership of the University of Stuttgart, partners from 33 European countries.
RTU ANNOUNCES AN OPEN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR ELECTING THE NEXT RECTOR
Riga Technical University (RTU) organises elections of its next Rector in conformity with the new version of the Latvian Law on Higher Education Institutions and good management principles, having attracted a personnel selection company that will provide support in selection and assessment of candidates for the Rector’s position, by arranging an open international competition and involving in decision-taking both the RTU family and national economy experts. RTU invites candidates to submit their applications by 10 October.

The EIT’s HEI Initiative: Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education is a joint EIT Community activity coordinated by EIT RawMaterials. The initiative is a key objective for the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) as part of its new strategy, the EIT Strategic Innovation Agenda 2021−2027. The initiative aims to support higher education institutions with expertise and coaching, access to the EIT innovation ecosystem, and funding, enabling them to develop innovation action plans complementing the needs of individual higher education institutions.
RTU WILL BE THE FIRST UNIVERSITY IN LATVIA TO ORGANIZE A TEDX CONFERENCE
On 20 October, the first TEDx conference of Riga Technical University (RTU) will take place both on-site at RTU auditorium center «Domus Auditorialis» and online, where outstanding Latvian and international scientists and experts in business, medicine, digital environment, education, culture, environment, and other fields will share their inspiring stories. TEDx Riga Technical University is organized by the Institute of Business Engineering and Management of the Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management (FEEM) of RTU. This is the first time in the history of Latvia that an educational institution has obtained a license to hold a TEDx conference. At the moment, conference organization is underway.
RTU, THE ONLY UNIVERSITY FROM THE BALTICS, IS RANKED AMONG 40 WORLD’S UNIVERSITIES WITH A STRONG ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT
The capacity of Riga Technical University (RTU) in promoting entrepreneurial skills and developing the business environment has been highly evaluated by the international ranking World’s Universities with Real Impact (WURI), where RTU ranked 36th in the Entrepreneurial Spirit category. In total, RTU was placed 101–200 in the WURI ranking. None of the Baltic universities has reached so high results in this ranking.
