Round table: New ideas and continue with innovation in teaching at UDG
Based on the decision of the Rector of the Collegium of the University of Donja Gorica on Thursday, 12.8.2016. was held IX round table dedicated to the improvement of teaching: New ideas and continue with innovation in teaching at UDG. The round table was attended by all the teachers, associates and employees and PhD students at the UDG and also PhD “Junose”(The group of students from the first year of basic studies took PhD and work with their super visor Professor Veselin Vukotic, Rector of UDG.) Also, a round table was free open for all students from UDG!
Rector of the UDG, Professor Veselin Vukotic opened the round table. In his opening speech explain that this roundtable began much earlier, although it is formally organized only today. One of the reason for round table were three teams that he formed in order to improve teaching in the UDG and "martyrs" who included the teaching staff to 30 years, the "apostles" from 30 to 35 years and "resurrected" from 35 to 40 years.
Each of the groups had identical based materials which are discuss in several iterations on a given topic. A round table on the each group had three presenters who explain visions of their group with two aspects, theoretical, and practical suggestions for improving it.
Discussion after the speeches of representatives of all three groups was very dynamic and fruitful, paving the way of new ideas and innovation in the development UDG to 2400. year. Participation in the discussion took not only teachers but also students who are from their own point of view discussed about the crisis of education, which is evident in today's civilization.
Rector Vukotic in his closing remarks said that he was satisfied with the discussion but also that there is still much space to improve things. First of all, his position is related to the spirit and way of thinking, understanding the spirit of the times and the role of engagement at the university.
The future is uncertain and full of risks! If a deep, functional, and understand the past and present, we can avoid the risks! And as much as possible to reduce uncertainty, which cannot be completely eliminated!
