THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY FORUM FOR STUDENTS AND ALUMNI OF GSCM

On May 17-18, in Moscow, the Anniversary Forum “Tandem of Business and Business Education: Results and Prospects” was successfully held. It was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Graduate School of Corporate Management of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

The Forum was attended by more than 100 students, graduates, professors and friends of GSCM from Russia, the countries of the EEU, the USA, South Korea, the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and other countries. According to the participants, this large-scale event has become an effective platform for organizing information exchange between the academic and business communities, developing international cooperation, and integrating Russia into the global environment of business education.

The program of the first day of the Forum held a panel discussion "Strategy of development of business in modern conditions", moderated by A.G. Aganbegyan, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Scientific Director of the DBA program at GSCM. Other well-known speakers also took part:

Alexey Vedev, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Ex-Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Head of the Department "Management of Innovative Projects" of GSCM RANEPA;

Vladimir Salamatov, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Ex-Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Head of the Department "International Commerce" of GSCM RANEPA;

- Andrey Nechaev, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Ex-Minister of Economy of the Russian Federation;

-  Sergey Tsikalyuk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VSK Insurance House;

Alexander Filatov, certified corporate director, partner of the GenezisTechCapital foundation.

In connection with the start of the official accreditation process of the GSCM at AACSB, the Executive Vice-President of the AACSB Tim Mesсon attended the Forum. He moderated the international panel discussion “Business Education: International Cooperation in the Context of Changes”.

The speakers of the international session were:

Katalin Kovacs, Dean of the Maastricht School of Management (Netherlands);

Axel Schaper, Director of the afw Wirtschaftsakademie (Germany);

Sung Jo Park, Professor at the Korea Advanced Technology Institute KAIST (South Korea);

Vesselin Blagoev, Professor, Vice-Rector of Varna University of Management VUM (Bulgaria).

 The first part of the first day of the Forum ended with a master class “Business Education in the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” by Sung Joe Pak, professor at the Korea Advanced Technology Institute (KAIST) of South Korea.

The second day of the Forum was organized in the historical estate near Moscow - the former summer residence of the famous Soviet Marshal S.M. Budyonny. The guests of the forum enjoyed a workshop “Blue ocean strategy - how to put into practice” by Vesselin Blagoev, professor of the University of Management of Varna, VUM (Bulgaria) - training, team building and sports entertainment.

         GSCM thanks all speakers, organizers and participants for the creation of a platform for interaction, exchange of experience, networking, as well as the development of cooperation between representatives of science and business of different generations, cities and countries.
