The fast-growing virtualization, processes of interaction between real and digital economic sectors generate new opportunities that can bring both benefits and unexpected threats.

The Moscow International Higher Business School MIRBIS has launched a new research vector to deal with these issues and develop their practical solution. The fact is that scientists and experts working in this field have different points of view on key issues related to the digital economy and interaction of virtual economy with business entities.

It is a paradox that the word "virtual" initially recognizes something legitimately existing (having power and capable of producing an effect) but invisible and hidden which is not quite typical for building economic relations and requires the development of new patterns and approaches.

It is necessary to do so as the positive results of integration of the real and virtual economic sectors equipped with modern digital technologies are obvious. They are expressed primarily in the provision of each sector with new opportunities. At the same time, the negative aspects of interaction are manifested through new political, social and economic risks and threats postulating the development of effective protection measures that make the new relations profitable and moderately safe.

Business school students facing these problems in real business are ready to use bold and innovative methods to solve them.

The most interesting research results will be soon published. The International Department of MIRBIS Institute is interested in expanding contacts of Russian researchers working on this issue with foreign business schools supplementing educational programmes with modern knowledge of the virtual economy based on ultramodern digital platforms.
