2011 10 10-14, WEEK OF LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENT (ŠIAULIAI UNIVERSITY, LITHUANIA)
Since 2007 the Day of Local Self-Government is celebrated in Lithuania. This day can be considered as a professional holiday of municipal employees, but it also is a holiday of all the people, because all of us live in certain local self-government.
By the initiative of the head of the Department of Public Administration (Faculty of Social Sciences) Prof. Dr. D. Šaparnienė, together with Šiauliai city and district municipalities the events WEEK OF LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENT were organized to mention the 92-years anniversary of the first Law of Local Self-Government in Lithuania in October 10-14.
