2015 Lean Summit Held by MSU BS, Kaizen Center and Volnoe Delo
On April 8-11 MSU Business School, Kaizen Center (Japan) and Volnoe Delo Foundation held a 2015 International Lean Summit in Gelendzhik. The motto of the Summit was “Thrift versus Crisis”. Over 200 top managers from leading Russian companies representing major economic industries in 25 Russian regions as well as experts and specialists form the USA, Japan, Great Britain, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan took part in the main lean event of the year. Among the speakers of the Summit were students and graduates of MSUBS, who successfully develop production systems at Russian and foreign enterprises.
CEO of Lean Enterprise Institute John Shook, CEO of Toyota Engineering Corporation Toshio Horikiri, Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Cognitive Edge Dave Snowden, senior consultant of Japan Management Association Consultants Nobuyuki Tamaru and over 50 top-managers of major companies shared their best practices at the Summit.
MSUBS Dean Professor Dr. Oleg S. Vikhanskiy and MBA Production Systems Programme Director Vyacheslav Boltrukevich moderated the plenary session.
Parallel special sections composed according to the production types – discreet, continuous, or project-based production, services, and trade has become a distinctive feature of 2015 Lean Summit. Military industrial complex had an individual section as it has different production and market specifics.
Experience of Russian companies such as Basic Element, GAZ Group, Sukhoi, Glavstroi, RUSAL, NLMK, Severstal, Irkutskenergo, ROSATOM, Baltic Ship Building Company, Agroholding Kuban, TBM, Industrial Union of Kuban, KAMAZ, Ingosstrakh, Paker, AHK, Window Kontinent, Vympelcom, Severstal, and others, which have been introducing lean technologies for years, was discussed on Summit.
Suggestions for stimulating development of the production systems at Russian enterprises including staff training and forming new result-oriented programmes and support measures collected during the Summit will be passed to the Government and the Federation Council.
The 2015 Lean Summit was organized by MSU Business School, Volnoe Delo Foundation run by Oleg Deripaska, and Kaizen Center in Krasnodar Territory (Japan).
