4 New Schools EQUIS Accredited and 10 Re-accredited
Warm congratulations to all schools who went successfully through the leading international quality system, EQUIS, and became part of the 1 % of the leading business schools worldwide.
The rigour of the EQUIS accreditation system does not just concentrate on a few criteria that can vary immensely from year to year. EQUIS actually gets right into the heart of the school’s offerings, its ethos and value for students.
In total, 180 schools have been accredited by EQUIS in 44 different countries.
Congratulations to four new schools who obtained the EQUIS accreditation, learn more about the success stories on the EFMD's blog:
EFMD would like to extend their congratulations to ten schools who proved their relentless commitment to excellence and improvement:
- Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester, United Kingdom
- ESSEC Business School, France
- Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town, South Africa
- Nyenrode Business Universiteit, The Netherlands
- Thammasat Business School, Thammasat University, Thailand
EQUIS accreditation ensures a rigorous quality control, benchmarking the school against international standards in terms of governance, programmes, students, faculty, research, and foremost, internationalisation, ethics, responsibility and sustainability, as well as corporate engagement. EQUIS covers all degree and non-degree programmes offered by a school, from bachelor to doctoral studies, including executive education where appropriate. Simply put, it allows students to evaluate their prospective learning experiences before embarking on a course of study.
- Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management – IAE, France
- Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg University, Russia
- IESA – Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración, Venezuela
- ITAM Business School, ITAM – Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, Mexico
- Stockholm School of Economics, Sweden
Acknowledged worldwide by potential students, employers, clients and the media as the most holistic and rigorous accreditation process, EQUIS accreditation is often a pre-requisite for entry to rankings, such as the Financial Times rankings. As Della Bradshaw, a former FT Business Education Editor, an authority and an influencer in the management education field, once said: "The gold standard for business school accreditation is a 5-year accreditation from EQUIS.”
