7 professors of Kazakhstan honored «For Academic Honesty» award
February 17 2015 Almaty Management University (Alma University), formerly IAB, honored 7 Kazakhstan professors, who won award “For Academic Honesty” established by ALMA University.
ALMA U advocating high level of scientific ethics and effectiveness of national science, established a special annual award “For Academic Honesty” for professors of Kazakhstan, which received their academic rank in 2014 in full compliance with MES criteria***.
It should be noticed, that only one third of scientists, who became a professor last year meets the MES criteria, all of them awarded honorary award established by ALMA U.
This professors:
1. Prihodko Oleg Yurivich – Al Farabi Kazakh National University;
- Volodin Valery Nikolayevich – National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Gogol Daniil Borisovich – Institute of Comprehensive Exploitation of Mineral Resources;
- Mansharipova Almagul Toleuovna – Kazakh-Russian Medical University;
- Isin Daulet Kalykovich – Karaganda State Technical University;
- Sikhimbaev Muratbay Ryzdykbaevich- Karaganda State Technical University;
- Imanbayev Nurlan Sairamovich – International Kazakh-Turkish University named after Ahmet Yesevi.
Department of Science of ALMA University specially invited professors for the ceremony, they came from the different regions of Kazakhstan. Awarding ceremony “For Academic Honesty” held during the ceremony of Republican contest “ZachOt-2014”

Awards honored for scientists of Kazakhstan, according to the Rules of conferring academic ranks (order of MES RK from 31.03.2011), includes: “published at least 3 articles in peer-reviewed journals with non-zero impact–factor according to Thompson Reuters”. Unfortunately, they were facts when Kazakhstan researchers published their works in “fake” journals, not included in approved list.
