7th IMTA Alumni Conference to take place at ISM, Vilnius

The 7th IMTA Alumni Conference on Teaching Excellence and Quality Assurance: Implications for Faculty Development will be held on 26-27 April 2012 at the ISM University of Management and Economics, Vilnius, Lithuania, organized by a team of IMTA alumni from the host institution.

IMTA alumni association, a network of management teachers who attended CEEMAN's International Management Teachers Academy (IMTA), consists of 415 teachers from 126 institutions from 34 countries around the globe.

Following the successful experience of previous IMTA alumni conferences, the 7th IMTA Alumni Conference will include the following inter-related events:

  • IMTA Alumni Conference on Teaching Excellence and Quality Assurance: Implications for Faculty Development, with excellent speakers, including IMTA Faculty Members
  • IMTA International Teaching Week, where IMTA alumni will provide lectures to students of the host institution
  • IMTA Alumni Meeting

The conference theme is developed to include the following:

  • Teaching Faculty Development, Skills and Quality Issues
  • Academic Excellence through Quality Teaching
  • Employing Technology in Higher Education
  • Implications and prospects for faculty development and IMTA alumni involvement

In addition to inputs provided by the conference speakers, IMTA alumni will have the opportunity to present and discuss their personal and institutional approaches and experiences related to the above topics.

An integral part of the event will be the IMTA Alumni Annual Meeting in which participants will discuss past and future activities of the association and related organizational matters.

In addition to the formal program, IMTA alumni will have an excellent opportunity to attend several social and cultural events that will enable them to learn more about the fascinating history and culture of Vilnius and Lithuania.

The 7th IMTA Alumni Conference will be open also for management faculty from the host institution and business schools from Lithuania and other countries that may have interest into the faculty development trends and issues, and the related IMTA experience.
