A Study Visit
On 6-9 December 2011 the International School of Law and Business (ISLB), Vilnius, Lithuania will organize a study visit "Promoting Synergy between Business and Education" for educational professionals from across Europe.
The study visit is part of the EU‘s Lifelong Learning Programme 2007-13 (LLP), which is coordinated by the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training, CEDEFOP. The study visit will be tailored to share knowledge and experience on policies, models and initiatives of education - industry collaboration, projects developed in partnership with employers, measures to improve availability of information on present and future occupational demand and related skill requirements, related teaching and curriculum development strategies, etc. The overall objective is to generate an exchange of experience and good practice between representatives of different institutions from various countries.
The study visit will be organized in partnership with employers, business associations and technology parks, vocational schools, etc., also with representation from governmental authorities. The participants will include professional educators, owners/managers of SMEs, representatives of education and training networks and associations, representatives of educational services, labour offices, and representatives of employers’ organisations from 12 countries, including Great Britain, Italy, Poland, France, Denmark, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Spain, Turkey, Portugal and Greece.
