Alma U - NUCB artnership

Professor of Nagoya University read a lecture on Critical thinking. As part of the internationalization at the first weeks of February Jonathan Damiani, visiting professor of Nagoya University of Commerce and Business (NUCB), Japan read an intensive course of a lecture in Alma U for undergraduate students on the theme “Critical Thinking” and “Leadership” for graduates.

 

In XXI century changed the goals and objectives of education. As a further accumulation of information leads to overloading a student, task of education is not a summation of knowledge, it is in arming a student with the tools, which can be used in gaining knowledge on their own.

That is why, ALMA University given into account contemporary education tendencies, focus on formation of necessary skills as critical thinking and leadership skills.

 

Thinking critically means exercising curiosity and use research methods: to set a question and carry out a systematic search for answers. «Critical Thinking» assumes polite skepticism, doubts about conventional wisdom, which means find a new point of view and ability to defend it with logical interpretation.
