ALYTAUS KOLEGIJA in Georgian Education Fair

On 23-26 February 2012 Head of International Office Rozalija Radlinskaitė and Head of International Studies Centre Irena Ivanauskienė of ALYTAUS KOLEGIJA University of Applied Sciences together with representatives from Education Exchanges Support Foundation (Lithuanian national agency responsible for implementing EU Lifelong Learning Programme) and Lithuanian higher education institutions participated in the international exhibition “Georgian Education Fair” in the capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi.

International Education Fair presented a great number of educational establishments nationally and internationally, offered thorough information on study opportunities in Georgia and other countries and study programmes. Studying abroad is becoming more and more popular among young people of Georgia so that was a meeting place for them to understand and to choose the place for studies.  The Fair also became a great platform for professionals and decision-makers in the education sector to exchange their experience and know-how.

Participants from 16 Lithuanian universities and colleges presented Lithuanian higher education in the stand “Study in Lithuania”. Presentation of the trademark “Study in Lithuania” at the international education fairs is a part of the project, implemented by the Education Exchanges Support Foundation, on internationalization of Higher Education of Lithuania. The aim of this project is to present Lithuania’s higher education reform, create a single image of higher education, and invite foreign citizens to study in Lithuania.

The study programmes “Business Management” and “Technologies of Information Systems” of ALYTAUS KOLEGIJA attracted the Fair visitors’ attention as well as “International Summer School” to be held in ALYTAUS KOLEGIJA on 9-24 July, 2012
