Application for CEEMAN's IMTA 2012 extended until 23 March

Following numerous requests received from different parts of the world, CEEMAN has extended the application deadline for IMTA 2012 (International Management Teachers Academy) to 23 March 2012.

CEEMAN's flagship faculty development IMTA - International Management Teachers Academy has already received applications from a record number of 19 countries (Austria, Belarus, Brazil, Czech Republic, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Latvia, Lithuania, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, Switzerland, Tanzania, Ukraine and UK), and application announcements from Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Romania, South Africa and Sweden.

IMTA is an intensive and highly interactive two-week program with a well-balanced focus on general and discipline-specific aspects of management education. Week 1 focuses on common issues related to general aspects of management education, with special emphasis on the case method and project work. It also deals with the skills required in the multiple roles of faculty. Innovations in management development are discussed in the context of IT, project-based education, and the integration of the arts, culture, and science.

During Week 2 participants will focus on requirements and opportunities more specific to their particular disciplines. The final list of disciplinary tracks will be decided in accordance with the interest expressed by IMTA 2012 applicants among the following:

  • Strategic Management
  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Leadership and Change Management
  • Business in Society (for the first time)

Pre-program individual preparation and in-program lectures and discussions, individual preparation, small group discussions and teamwork, case discussions, simulations, role-play, presentations, and other work methods position IMTA participants at the center of the learning process.

More information about the program and application process is available at CEEMAN website www.ceeman.org/imta
