EBS is starting collaborations with cyber security companies

Estonian Business School is starting collaborations with Estonian cyber security companies BHC Laboratory and CybExer Technologies to increase the capability of future leaders to prevent severe cyber threats.

According to Toomas Danneberg, the vice rector for international collaboration at EBS, the collaboration has been planned on three levels. First, the cyber security companies will be supporting a new curriculum that the university will be offering from autumn 2017 – MBA in Digital Society, which educates future managers and leaders who will be able to run businesses and organisations successfully in an increasingly digitised world.

Second, the university will be promoting and mediating the Cyber Hygiene e-Learning Platform invented by CybExer Technologies, in an international network of universities offering business study modules. This test environment is unique in the world, exposing people to real-life situations and actual case studies, using simple and playful tests to improve their own personal cyber hygiene.

Third, the partners will be collaborating on a cyber defence training simulation for the business sector, so that the university’s international partners, companies and corporations could test their capabilities in handling actual cyber-attacks. This development is based on an internationally acclaimed cyber war learning platform developed by BHC Laboratory and intended for governments, security authorities and organisations.

Established in 1988, EBS is the oldest privately owned business university in Estonia. The university teaches entrepreneurship and business administration at bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels.
