EdTech Seminar Successfully Launched

CEEMAN launched EdTech – Seminar on Digital Technologies in Teaching and Learning, a brand new educational program that took place for the first time from 4-7 December in Bled, Slovenia.

Participants from around the world gathered in Bled to share knowledge, experiences and concerns regarding the digitalization in management education. Dr. Nikos Mylonopoulos, EdTech Program Director and Associate Professor of Digital Business at the ALBA Graduate Business School of The American College of Greece, set the tone of the seminar with the statement that “we are educating students today for the next 30 or 40 years.  It is our responsibility to look deep into the future, and decide how we are going to best prepare them for that kind of future.”

He was followed by presentations of good practices and tools for online delivery, as well as, inspiring sessions on the topic of digital technologies in relation to the quality in education, managing the transition to the online context, cultivating learning communities, etc. The seminar was rounded out by a deeper insight into the historical relations between capital, technology and education and the way technology influences cognitive processes.
