Educational Event at MIRBIS
From the 12th till the 16th of March 2012 a study visit of MBA and EMBA students from TSM business school (the Netherlands) took place at MIRBIS in the frameworks of the programme “International Business Strategies in the Russian context”.
The students had a very informative and enriching programme. On the very first day after their arrival the study trip was opened by a welcome speech of the MIRBIS rector Stanislav Savin, vice-rector Elena Zoubkova and the EMBA programme director Nikolay Popkov. After that the students had a lecture «Russia in Search of Modernization» by professor Vsevolod Marinov. On the same day the students went on an excursion to the Red Square and the Kremlin, and then had a bus sightseeing tour around Moscow. In the evening there was a welcome dinner for MIRBIS guests from the country of tulips and windmills.
The study programme was very intensive, as every day the EMBA students had to attend two-three workshops of MIRBIS professors on various aspects of Russian Economy and Business, then – to do home assignments. Every day of studies ended up with presentations on the basis of the business visits and discussions.
As a part of the residential course, the TSM EMBA students visited the «Shtokman Development AG» company. Some of the participants who work in Healthcare were invited to the Sklifosovsky Scientific and Research Medical Emergency Institute to get familiarized with healthcare system in Russia. After the study trip the programme participants were full of positive emotions, while the MIRBIS staff kept good memories about the new friends from Holland.
