Estonian Business School was welcomed to CFA Institute University Recognition Programme
EBS is the first and so far the only university in the Baltic-Finnish region which was welcomed into the CFA Institute University Recognition programme which means that our Bachelor of Arts in International Business Administration has been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70% of the CFA Programme level I Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice within the program.
Through cooperation with universities around the world, CFA Institute seeks to promote ethics-based investment education in university degree programmes aimed at developing serious investment professionals.

This does not mean though that EBS itself would issue CFA certificates or set standards for licensure examinations.
Our Bachelor of Arts in International Business Administration positions students well to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, which has become the most respected and recognized investment credential in the world.
Entry into the CFA Institute University Recognition Programme signals to potential students, employers, and the marketplace that the International Business Administration curriculum of EBS is closely tied to professional practice and is well-suited to preparing students to sit CFA examinations. Through participation in this programme EBS shall also be eligible to receive a number of student scholarships for the CFA Programme each year.
“We’re very pleased to be recognized by the CFA Programme,” said the Head of the Department of Economics and Finance Andres Vesilind. “This speaks about Estonian Business School’s commitment to provide students with new opportunities to learn in an environment of excellence. Our main goal has always been the success of our graduates and the key to success in today´ s world is definitely the preparation for the global marketplace. CFA designation ensures that our graduates have the skills necessary to pursue international and meaningful careers.”
„We would like to thank our partners for their support during the application process, which actually started in 2008 already. Especially CFA Society Finland, LHV Bank, EVLI Securities and a number of our own alumni have implemented many initiatives and actively participated in advancing our mission. To strengthen the faculty, we have also selected new lecturers with remarkable background in investment management and with an CFA certificate,“ says Vesilind.
