Experts gave a positive assessment to VU IBS

International Management Development Association CEEMAN granted the International Quality Accreditation, (IQA) to Vilnius University International Business School (IBS VU) for the maximum period of six years.

Recently, VU IBS received a positive institutional assessment in Lithuania. International experts of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) granted also the maximum, six-year accreditation for activities to VU IBS.

They evaluated the strategic school management, the study and research process, their interaction and compliance with the strategic provisions of the organization, the balance of operational and scientific study programmes, and international activities.

“VU IBS achievements is a result of the ongoing consistent of work in recent years. It is a modern business school with a lot of potential. We support its activities in improving the quality of education, development of internationalization and promotion of cross-curricular activities. It is important that the future alumni of VU IBS, becoming fully functional members of the business community, bring in the understanding of the importance of socially responsible business and contribute to our country's economic well-being”, said the rector of the University of Vilnius Artūras Žukauskas.

Birutė Miškinienė, manager of the service of studies of VU IBS and acting director of VU IBS, noted that the business school is focused on the development of business studies, promotion of entrepreneurship, and purified cornerstones business principles – quality of education, knowledge application and relevance.

“Currently, the educational process necessarily involves business practitioners, and student practice time, subject to business needs, has been increased for up to 4 months. In addition, we strengthen the family business area, because a large proportion of our students come from family businesses. We also educate a large number of foreign students and encourage their involvement in the VU IBS community. Expert reviews confirm that we are moving in the right direction”, says B. Miškinienė.
