Global Entrepreneurship Week to Spread Across Lithuania
The fourth Global Entrepreneurship Week starts on Monday and will be held at least in nine cities of the country.

Week starts on Monday and will be held at least in nine cities of the
country. ISM University of Management and Economics is the host of the
global initiative in Lithuania that promotes the search for business
ideas, their implementation and the start-up of new companies. Like
during previous years, all are welcome to take part in the activities
organised by the partners and patrons of the Global Entrepreneurship
Week – the pupils, teachers, students and representatives of the
companies.
“This year strong partners, such as Versli Lietuva, Investuotojų asociacija, JCI and AIESEC organizations join the activities aimed at promoting entrepreneurship. The number of initiatives that encourage entrepreneurship is increasing in Lithuania, it is great that this time they share a joint goal and are held under the same name –Global Entrepreneurship Week. By joining our efforts we will reach more people, propose more varied activities. Even though it is symbolic that the Global Entrepreneurship Week is held for one week, the young people of Lithuania, teachers, company managers will be able to take part in the events for at least a few months,”- ISM President Dr. Nerijus Pačėsa emphasizes.
Successful Lithuanians will, no doubt, be encouraging the pupils not to be afraid to start their business, will explain about the basics of leadership and will share their experience on self-motivation. The Business Idea Competition will be held at the same time, whereas the best ideas will be awarded.
This year ISM is organising for the second time the seminar cycles ISM Pupils‘ University and ISM Teacher’ University. The pupils will be learning during the lectures on marketing, finances, human resource management and organisation psychology. The teachers will be able to learn new things and to deepen their knowledge that will help them to achieve best teaching results faster and in a more efficient way.
In Kaunas lecture cycles and seminars on business start-up, development and most common mistakes Business 101 will be held. The most initiative ones will be able to take part in the creativity and marketing competition Creative Shock. Also, during the Global Entrepreneurship Week the seventh national competition Verslauk (Be Entrepreneur) will be held at the University. The winners will receive funding for their ideas. The competition is organised by Vilnius City Municipality.
ISM University of Management and Economics is encouraging company representatives to organise open lectures and dialogs with the staff on the measurement of value provided to the clients, sustainable business management, investment in securities as a form of entrepreneurship. The lectures will be held in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda.
The knowledge and events in this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week will jointly be shared by the ISM University of Management and Economic, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania, JCI, Investor association, Versli Lietuva, AIESEC, Sėkmės mokykla, ISM MA club and other organisations. The events will be launched in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Mažeikiai, Kėdainiai, Alytus, Ukmergė, Utena, and Panevėžys.

About the Global Entrepreneurship Week:
The
objective of the Global Entrepreneurship Week is to develop
entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity starting from the secondary
school pupils and teachers who educate a new generation for Lithuania.
The organisers aim to inspire young people to take up the initiative,
encourage experienced business people to share their impressions, invite
the politicians and government representatives to take part in the
promotion of entrepreneurship.
This
global project aims at helping millions of young people to discover the
powers of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship within
themselves. The authors of the idea – former UK Prime Minister Gordon
Brown and Carl Schramm, the President of Ewing Marion Kauffman
Foundation. In 2010 project 87 countries took part, around 35000 events
were held organised by 18000 partners.
