GSCM held International module «Innovative governance of large urban systems in Moscow»

GSCM RANEPA held of the international module "Innovative governance of large urban systems in Moscow" for Executive Master IGLUS students of the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne - EPFL).

Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL) has the status of a technical university and is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Europe.

The Innovative Governance of Urban Systems (IGLUS) module was first held in Russia at the sites of GSCM RANEPA (Moscow) and the State University of Economics (St. Petersburg).  Among the participants are representatives of business and scientific circles of France, Malaysia, Canada, Turkey, India, Switzerland, Venezuela and Bangladesh.

“Your group is special for us: you have come to study the management of urban systems and the creation of “smart cities” - topic that is currently relevant around the world,” said Sergey Kalendzhyan (dean of GSCM), addressing to the participants of the module. He added that over the past 10 years, Moscow has become a truly innovative city, where large-scale international events are held and modern comfortable conditions are created for Moscow residents and numerous guests of the capital.

 Professors and specialists of GSCM RANEPA, MGIMO, representatives of the Moscow Government and Organizing committee of Sochi Olympic Games and FIFA gave lectures and workshops. During the module, participants took part in a business tour of Moscow metro, visited «MFS-6» (famous construction company in Russia), the VTB Arena Park stadium and had a sightseeing tour of the capital. On the last day of the Russian module, graduation ceremony was held and all module participants got certificates.
