ISM was awarded with four palms in Shanghai

During the global university ranking “Eduniversal” congress ISM University of Management and Economics was awarded with four palms out of five for the fourth time already.

During the global university ranking “Eduniversal” congress ISM University of Management and Economics was awarded with four palms out of five for the fourth time already. This Lithuanian University remains among the top 200 business universities globally. The ISM ranking is the highest in Lithuania and one of the highest in Eastern and Central Europe.
 
This year “Eduniversal” congress during which the palms were awarded was held in Shanghai, China. The highest category and five palms – “Universal Business Schools” was awarded to top 100 business schools, US Harvard University, UK Oxford and Cambridge Universities, Stockholm School of Economics, ISM establisher Norwegian Business School and others among them.
 
ISM University of Management and Economics awarded with 4 palms got into the second category of the world’s business universities – “TOP Business Schools”. The University received 4 palms for the first time in 2008.
 
“This recognition for the University is of particular importance in trying to attract students, lecturers and experts from different countries. The quality of studies is our special focus, we invest into the study programmes, the best staff and infrastructure. By improving the quality we involve the administrative staff, lecturers, students, alumni and business companies. We are very happy that has received recognition for the fourth time already,” - ISM President Dr. Nerijus Pačėsa says.
 
Other business schools of the country remain among the ones being ranked – the Baltic Management Institute (BMI) and International Business School at Vilnius University like during the recent years each received three palms, the Faculty of Economics and Management of Vytautas Magnus University was awarded with 2 palms.
 
This year “Eduniversal” introduced a new initiative – ranking “Best Masters” that assessed MA programmes in Business universities in 153 countries. The selected management and economics programmes will be divided into 28 areas according to which  the university and school rankings will be announced in December.
 
The last stage of assessment included three ISM University of Management and Economics MA programmes: MSc in Financial Economics was among the 200 best in the area of banking/ finance, International Marketing and Management Programme was among the 200 best in the area of marketing, whereas ISM MA for Executives – among  200 best in the field of Strategic and Company management.
 
About  “Eduniversal” ranking:

The main objective of “Eduniversal” business university ranking – to objectively compare different education institutions that organise management and business administration studies worldwide. The ranking helps the students and the academia professionals to choose among foreign universities for their studies, internship or cooperation.  Around 1000 business universities and schools that are grouped in 9 academic zones take part in “Eduniversal” ranking: Africa, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Eurasia and Middle East, Far East Asia, Latin America, North America, Oceania and Western Europe that represent 153 countries.
 
Ranking annually is organised in three stages – first the internationalisation of the university is assessed: the accreditations obtained, participation in international associations and organisations, place in international, regional and national rankings. The second stage involves the Deans’ vote from 1000 business universities and schools in 153 countries worldwide. In the third stage the university is assessed by the International Scientific Committee with nine independent experts from different regions of the world.
