KTU welcomed into CFA Institute University Affiliation Program

Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Lithuania in April 29, 2019 has become the latest university to be welcomed into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program. Master of Science in Finance have been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice within the program.  This program position students well to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, which has become the most respected and recognized investment credential in the world.

“Preparation for CFA Institute University Affiliation Program took 2 years. We had to form a strong study field committee with experienced business representatives who confirmed the relevance of the program to the CFA content in the labor market. The content of Master of Science in Finance has been redrafted to meet at least 70% of CFA level I, II and III certificates. The subjects taught were either matched or integrated or replaced with new ones. Program teachers took part in various trainings”, – says prof. Gerda Žigienė.

Recognizable worldwide

Entry into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program signals to potential students, employers, and the marketplace that KTU curriculum is closely tied to professional practice and is well-suited to preparing students to sit for the CFA examinations.  

“Through participation in this program, KTU is eligible to receive a limited number of student scholarships for the CFA Program each year”, – says KTU assoc. prof. Ginta Railienė.

The graduates of KTU Master of Science in Finance possess diverse range of knowledge about the specifics of state processes, about the processes taking place in different financial market segments, in business sector. Graduates of this program are able to apply innovative financial management principles, tools and methods in various financial management institutions and non-financial corporations, and to identify and solve financial management problems, arising at the level of the state, financial sector or non-financial company.
