Non-traditional lecture

Lectures can be conducted not only in University but also in Business Companies

On the 10th of October the students of the 4th course of Economics Study programme (Šiauliai University) visited Confectionary factory „Rūta“. Non-traditional lecture at the company combined three disciplines: Economics of Investment, Regional Economics and Labour Economics. Students got tasks from each discipline.

The company “Rūta” is well-known company that cherishes old traditions and applies the latest trends (modern recipes, development of technologies, original ideas of products) in its activities, collaborates with scientists, participates in various EU projects.

Students participated in cognitive excursion in manufacturing department of the company where they were introduced with the variety of confectionary making technologies. Later the discussion was organized at the conference hall. The head of marketing department S. Gricevičiūtė told students more about the company, the specificity of work, current projects, investment trends, competitive advantages at regional and national level and practice opportunities for students.
