Official Opening Ceremony of GCSC
On April 19, 2012 at “Radisson Blu Iveria”, there was an official Opening Ceremony of "Georgia’s Center for Strategy and Competitiveness". The event was also the venue for the presentation of the close-out report of USAID/Caucasus PhD Program in Business Administration at Caucasus University. The establishment of the strategic center is the direct result of the collaborative project financed under a USAID program that ensured the further development of PhD program at Caucasus University.

was an official Opening Ceremony of "Georgia’s Center for Strategy and Competitiveness". The event was also the venue for the
presentation of the close-out report of USAID/Caucasus PhD Program in
Business Administration at Caucasus University. The establishment of the
strategic center is the direct result of the collaborative project
financed under a USAID program that ensured the further development of
PhD program at Caucasus University. Its purpose is to prepare qualified
PhD graduates, and one who will put their knowledge, effort and
experience to practical activities under the umbrella of the newly
competitiveness research center. The vast majority of human resources
now active at the new research center are doctors and professors from
Caucasus University.
Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mr. Nodar Surguladze, USAID Mission Director Mr. Stephen Haykin, President of Caucasus University Kakha Shengelia and Professor of Georgia State University Mr. Bijan Fazlollahi gave speeches on the occasion of the special evening event honoring guests and the programs activities and future prospects.
