Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs of the ISM University of Management and Economics, Professor Viltė Auruškevičienė, has been nominated a new Dean for Studies, to replace Dr. Nerijus Mačiulis, who has been in this position for the past five years.

The main task for the new Dean will continue to be the formation and implementation of the strategy for undergraduate and graduate studies and the assurance of academic quality.

“It is pleasing to see the change in students’ attitude towards higher education as an important investment into their future. This leads to stronger motivation and realisation that this investment will not be a success unless sufficient effort is made and all benefits provided by the studies are made use of.  It is our duty as the University to meet our students’ expectations and to provide them with knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career. For us the success of ISM graduates is a landmark showing that we are going in the right direction,” Prof. Auruškevičienė says.

The Professor has been working at the ISM University of Management and Economics since 2004, first as a lecturer and the head of the Group of Management Studies, then as the Vice-Dean for Studies since 2008.

Prof. Auruškevičienė has studied economics at Kaunas University of Technology and in the joint management and business administration postgraduate programme of Kaunas University of Technology and Vytautas Magnus University. She specialises in marketing strategy, market analysis, and intercultural research methodology. She teaches marketing at the ISM Executive School and other universities of Lithuania, supervises final theses of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, conducts research and publishes articles on marketing issues.

Prof. Auruškevičienė is also a reviewer and member of the Editorial Team of the international scientific journal Baltic Journal of Management, is engaged in various scientific and educational projects of the EU, has lectured and had internships in universities of France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Poland.
