RISEBA Participates in Project “Riga – European Capital of Culture 2014”
RISEBA Architecture and Media Centre H2O 6 has joined the Association of Creative Quarters and Territories and participates in the preparation of events and activities for Riga – European Capital of Culture 2014.
On 26 October in cooperation with Creative Quarters and Foundation Riga 2014 RISEBA Architecture and Media Centre H2O 6 hosted an open lecture “Shaping the virtual skin of the future city” by multimedia artist Franz Fischnaller organised by Riga 2014.
Franz Fischnaller addressed a series of questions ranging from the role of technology and innovation in urban space design, influence of media design on the evolution of urban landmarks and urban public sphere, digital interfaces of the future city, 3D-projection mapping – creating the illusion of multidimensional movement across & around the contours of any surface. Franz Fischnaller also presented some of his own experimental ideas, projects and productions deriving from exploration of the convergences of disciplines such as design, art, architecture, technology and science.
Franz Fischnaller is an artist and designer who uses technologies and experiments with innovations to create a new type of urban artwork, exhibitions and performances.
