UDG REPRESENTATIVES PARTICIPATED IN THE TRAINING WITHIN IDEA PROJECT

From 8 to 11 of May, representatives of the University of Donja Gorica visited Brno, Czech Republic, to visit the Teiresias Center at Masaryk University as part of the training of staff for inclusive education within the IDEA project and activities related to the establishment and improvement and the operationalization of accessibility units for people with disabilities.

The visit was organized within the Erasmus + project Inclusive Tertiary Education in the Western Balkans - IDEA. In addition to representatives from UDG, the training was attended by representatives from partner institutions of Albania, Kosovo and Ireland, who during the two-day event had the opportunity to hear presentations and exchange experiences as well as good practices to improve access to higher education for people with disabilities.

As part of this training, participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with library services as well as special IT services available at Masaryk University, as well as services provided to students with disabilities. In addition, participants had the opportunity to participate in practical workshops, where they had the opportunity to see and learn about assistive technologies (braille screens, hearing aids, CART, etc.).

As a reminder, this is just one in a series of trainings that were organized within the IDEA project, in February and April this year trainings were also held at the University of Donja Gorica.
