IN MEMORIAM PROF. RUTH ALAS (1961-2018)
With deep sadness BMDA Board and Management inform everyone that our dear colleague, friend and Board member Ruth Alas passed away on 23rd January 2018.
Ruth Alas has been serving as BMDA Board member since 2013, representing her institution- Estonian Business School. She was one of the most active BMDA Board members – always full of new plans, goals and creative ideas how to make BMDA flourish…
She played an important role in development of management education and was an outstanding scholar of management, truly passionate about her work and highly recognized internationally. She has authored more than 20 management books and 100 articles in Estonian and international publications, delivered presentations and lectures around the world, and was an active contributor at academic conferences and events organized by BMDA and other associations.
We will always remember her as very special person, nice friend and professional colleague, with whom we spent a lot of time discussing development of BMDA, management research in general as well as sharing personal development issues.
Our sincere condolences go out to Ruth’s family, colleagues and friends.
