Success of the 11th BMDA Annual Conference
The Main part of the Conference started on the morning of May 9th with the Research part where 27 research papers were presented by the authors.
The main part of the Conference was chaired by Prof. Rolf D. Cremer (the Dean Emeritus of CEIBS, China, Former President of EBS University for Business and Law, Germany).
During the first day of the event the Conference participants had a possibility to listen to the presentations delivered by the outstanding keynote speakers such as prof. Soumodip Sarkar (Dean of Institute for Advanced Studies and Research, Evora University, Portugal), Mr. Lauri Koponen (Sales Director at JSC ACME Europe , Finland) and prof. Peter Lorange (President/CEO at Lorange Institute of Business Zurich, Switzerland).
At the end of the first day, Conference participants had a possibility to share their ideas and insights as well as to discuss about the role of leadership during the Round table discussion.
The second day of the conference started with visits to the selected successful companies: ACME Europe, Volfas Engelman, Aconitum, KTU Start up Space. The companies shared their experiences in innovations.
Later, conference participants took part in the CEO Panel discussion actively debating what Business and Academia could do together in order to succeed, create and sustain their innovative approach. The CEO Panel discussion was led by prof. Sergey Myasoedov (President of RABE, Vice Rector and Dean of Russian Presidential Academy, IBS-Moscow) and included Mr. Algimantas Markauskas (Director of “Thermo Scientific Fisher” (Vilnius division), Lithuania), Mr. Linas Cereska (Director of “BIOK laboratory”, Lithuania), prof. Irina Sennikova (Rector, Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration, Latvia) and Mr. Evaldas Kulbokas (Chairman of the Board and Founder of JSC Sekasoft, Lithuania).
Further, BMDA President Dr. Virginijus Kundrotas presented BMDA activities for year 2013 and the Conference was finalized by inspiring speech of prof. David K. Hurst about “The New Ecology of Leadership” that encouraged conference participants to think “out of the box”.
To celebrate the 11th Annual BMDA Conference participants gathered at the Gala dinner which took place at the 1410 Restaurant. During the Gala dinner BMDA team thanked Conference sponsors, congratulated its new BMDA Corporate, Institutional and Individual members.
All in all, this Conference was the place for debate and dialogue, the platform for exchanging experiences, and the meeting place for all parties involved in innovations and strategic development as well as experiencing joyful moments together!
