Join us at the 16th Annual BMDA Conference " How to Make Conventional Business Unconventional"! The Conference will be held on April 18-20, 2018 in Porto, Portugal, and be hosted by Porto Business School.
The event will last three days.
The first day (actually afternoon of the day) is dedicated for the Academic community, basically University Rectors, Business School’s deans, faculty members. During this day we are going to discuss 2 topics during the panels – How to create unconventional programs at the Business schools and How to choose the unconventional methods or forms of learning to deliver those programs effectively.
The second day is mainly dedicated for Business community. During that day we are not going to talk about the issues that Business Schools are facing, but rather provide solutions/insights/ ideas for the business on the topic of the Conference.
Here we have 3 panels. During the first panel we need to explore ideas/suggestions/models on the products might/should be created in traditional business in order to be ahead of others. Here the ideas how to understand what unconventional products are needed, how to get that information, how to implement those ideas, etc., will be exposed.
During the second panel we will concentrate on the process management, which is needed to successfully implement those unconventional ideas, unusual products/services. Here we might discuss also what could be the traps or difficulties in the process of implementation, what are the steps of the implementation, etc.
And the third panel is about talent management- what talents we need in order to assure innovativeness in the organization, creativity, different view for the product development, etc. Also how to develop or recruit such people.
The third day is dedicated for practical visits to the companies and discussion on the topic of the conference during that visit with management of the companies. We will divide participants into 2 or 3 groups, and bring them to the particular companies for the visits.
After the few hours of the free time in afternoon after the visit, we will take everybody to visit local vineyard and for Gala dinner at the beautiful restaurant with the view to the Porto city.
