150th Anniversary of Riga Technical University
This year Riga Technical University celebrates its 150th Anniversary. RTU (originally Riga Polytechnicum) is the first tertiary education establishment in the territory of Latvia and the oldest technical university in the Baltic States. It was founded on 14 October, 1862, following the model of the Western polytechnic institutes and the best traditions of that time.
Kvalitetas acquired the third certificate
In July, UAB “Kvalitetas” very cheerfully greeted the 15-year anniversary, i.e. the auditors provided the third certificate. Now “Kvalitetas” Management System is certified according to ISO 9001:2008 standard, the Environmental Management System - according to ISO 14001, and social responsibility – according to SA 8000:2008.
Challenge:Future – Youth Think-DO-Tank
At the Challenge:Future Summit 2012, hosted by CEEMAN and IEDC-Bled School of Management in Bled on 16-21 March, it became very clear that Challenge:Future (CF) is no longer a think-tank: it’s a DO-tank!
13th edition of CEEMAN's IMTA concluded in Bled
From 10-22 June 2012, 36 participants from 19 countries (Austria, Belarus, Czech Republic, Egypt, Hungary, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and USA) had a chance to improve their competences and skills related to methodology of teaching management, as well as those related to specific management disciplines, such as: Strategic Management, Marketing, Finance/Accounting, and Leadership and Change Management. They also receive inputs related to other roles that management educators play: research, consultancy and institution building and administration.
The noticeable role of CEEMAN at the 3rd PRME Global Forum in Rio
CEEMAN provided significant contribution at the 3rd Global Forum for Responsible Management Education. Besides contributing, as a member of the PRME Steering Committee, to the conceptualization and preparation of the Global Forum, CEEMAN also led PRME Working Group on Poverty as a Challenge to Management Education, which presented its Report on Fighting Poverty through Management Education: Challenges, Opportunities, and Solutions. In her final presentation at the PRME Forum, Prof. Danica Purg, President of CEEMAN and IEDC-Bled School of Management, Slovenia announced the next PRME Summit to be hosted by CEEMAN and IEDC on 20-21 June 2013 in Bled, Slovenia.

In the project "RECEIVE" (Raising Enterpreneurial Competence through Coaching and Evaluation of Intercultural / Interdisciplinary Virtual Exchange) participated students from the six European universities: Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), University of Granada (Spain), Brno Technical University (Czech Republic), Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (Portugal), The University of Edinburgh (United Kingdom), Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary).
IBS at Vilnius University presented the 6000th undergraduate diploma
On Wednesday 20 June, 2012 the ceremony of undergraduate diploma awards took place in St. John's Church at VU, during which there was the 6000-th Bachelor’s Diploma of the International Business School at Vilnius University (IBS at VU) awarded.
Adizes Graduate School delivered the first Clinical Doctoral degree
