The LCC Board of Directors is pleased to announce that by unanimous vote Dr. Marlene Wall has been appointed as the sixth president of LCC International University in Klaipeda, Lithuania.
Conference of SMK
On the 12th of March, 2012 a conference “A New Role of Higher Education Institutions in Society: Challenges, Trends and Future Prospects” was organized by SMK University of Applied Social Sciences which took place in Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.

LFMI has conducted a survey of the Lithuanian Economy
The survey conducted by the Lithuanian Free Market Institute (LFMI) shows that Eurozone problems do not leave anybody cold. Lithuania failed to join the Eurozone in 2007 because it missed the inflation criteria by only 0.06 per cent. At the time, it was considered a big political failure.
LFMI joins European NGOs’ initiative on the euro crisis
In March 2012, the Lithuanian Free Market Institute joined an EU-wide Initiative for a Free and Prospering Europe, an informal and non-political group of European think tanks and other non-governmental organizations, policy analysts and opinion leaders, representatives from economic and other sectors, and European citizens.
EBS and Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre open Cultural Management programme
In December 2011 Margus Pärtlas from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT) and Heikki Päeva, Vice Rector of Estonian Business School signed a cooperation agreement, that is going to regulate the relations between the two universities in managing a joint English MA programme in Cultural Management.
EBS students take part in L'Oréal marketing competition Brandstorm
On March 16th took place the Estonian Business School finals of the international L’Oréal student marketing competition Brandstorm. 16 teams from EBS took part in the competition. Three teams were chosen who received an opportunity to take part in the Baltic finals, taking place on April 26th in Riga.
Foreign students can now apply to EBS online
Estonian Business School now accepts cross-border electronic applications through a new system called DreamApply. The applicant has to fill the application in DreamApply online application system and send signed application form to the university together with other relevant documents.

ALYTAUS KOLEGIJA in Georgian Education Fair
On 23-26 February 2012 Head of International Office Rozalija Radlinskaitė and Head of International Studies Centre Irena Ivanauskienė of ALYTAUS KOLEGIJA University of Applied Sciences together with representatives from Education Exchanges Support Foundation (Lithuanian national agency responsible for implementing EU Lifelong Learning Programme) and Lithuanian higher education institutions participated in the international exhibition “Georgian Education Fair” in the capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi.
